Industry Partners Endorse MA Digital Media and Emergent Technology

Deborah Duncan, Senior Producer and Host of “Great Day Houston” KHOU-11 CBS, emphasizes the value of emergent technology skills in the communication industry and the relevance of DMET in today’s media landscape:

“Gone are the days of simply getting a mass communications degree or even a journalism degree. The new forms of media and methods of communication require a much closer look at how messages are delivered and their purpose. The Metaverse, Virtual Engagement, and AI, none of these technologies existed a short time ago. Dr. Cesare Wright’s graduate program is current and innovative. Students will graduate with the skills to use emergent technologies in a variety of industries or other areas of study.” – Deborah Duncan, KHOU Ch. 11 Great Day Houston

Raamel Mitchell, Microsoft Global Director of Black Partner Growth Initiatives, highlights the industry value of DMET and the success of Dr. Wright’s Microsoft initiatives:

“Over the past decade, industries worldwide have undergone a profound transformation, utilizing technology to reshape how people live, work, and connect globally. This shift includes transitioning from traditional office setups to remote and flexible work arrangements, embracing virtual collaboration, and integrating technologies like AI, AR, VR, and robotics into daily life. Dr. Wright’s contributions during this time have been pivotal, as emerging technologies become essential for educators, leaders, policymakers, and innovators across society.” – Raamel Mitchell, Microsoft
